Numnahs & Saddle Pads

Highly concentrated for all sheepskin and farbic products. This detergent restores the natural properties of sheepskin and wool, reduced by washing. Developed in the Mattes laboratories with agents tested and used in skin processing in our own tannery. It protects against matting. The leather remains soft and elastic and the wool fluffy.
Excellent for riding breeches in full leather or with leather patches.

Underpad for half numnah - Lightweight quilt, made with 100% cotton exterior and micro-fibre velour with excellent wicking properties next to the horses skin. This product is suitable for those riders who wish to have a quilt product with less weight than our standard double sided quilt.

We recommend when using our Underpad combined with our half numnah, that you use our Saddlefix® to ensure that both products are held securely together high into the gullet of the saddle.

A versatile product, our Underpad may be used together with our half numnah or independently.

Half numnah - Fully lined without front trim - Long wool made with 100% genuine sheepskin, 30mm wool height, providing protection under the seat panels.
There are many reasons why it may be necessary to correct the fit of the saddle to ensure it remains in balance without altering its flocking:-
* To help compensate for changes in young horses due to their rapid muscle development during training
* For fully trained horses which change muscle definition during periods of work and rest
* To help correct natural irregularities in the horses build
* To help compensate for a ‘lower back’ caused by age
* To help compensate for changes in form and condition over seasons

Our 4 pocket Correction® system (2 pockets at the front, one on the near side, one on the off side; 2 pockets at the rear, one on the near side, one on the off side) together with our 5mm thick Poly-flex® shims, provide the means for ensuring a perfectly balanced saddle with full flexibility. Each Correction® pocket will take up to 6 x 5mm Poly-flex® shims, giving up to 30mm of adjustment per pocket. Poly-flex® shims can be added to and removed from the pockets, as required.
